Rhetorical situation

Blitzer describes a rhetorical situation as a dangerous situation and the words he uses to describes this are embarrassing situations , ethical , and dangerous. Just based off of this reading I have already noticed that blitzer is very repetitive in his writing and can be confusing at times with the way he words stuff. My understanding of a rhetorical situation is that it occurs anytime something needs to be resolved. Which is why the speaker or author will repeat certain phrases because typically that is the issue that needs resolution or the main point they are stressing to get across. For example in Martin Luther Kings I have a dream speech he repeats the phrases I have a dream and that is because he had a dream and was really trying to stress that because he wanted them to pay attention to the next line he said as that was the part he wanted to be a dream come true for society as a whole

  1. I like your perspective on bitzer’s definitions and writing style. I like how you gathered information from both you and Bitzers definition of the rhetorical situation. I think MLK “I have a dream” speech was a good example to use for the rhetorical situations.

  2. I really agree with the fact that you said that repeating your main focus throughout the whole presentation through out is the way to go and I find out there are some of us were using MLK for example .
